I love the Lord and want others to come to know
Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

I grew up hunting & fishing with my Dad in Texas. I moved to Denver, Colorado in 1993 and truly fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and Big Game hunting. In the Fall of 2012, I felt led to start an Outdoor Radio Show and in January of 2013 Sportsman of Colorado Radio was founded. And now, Hunting The Way is a Radio Show Ministry Powered by Sportsman Of Colorado.

Although being raised in a Christian home, attending a Christian High School and College, I have many trials and struggles to share. God has opened several doors for me in the outdoors from Alaska to Africa, and I will share some of those great moments in the outdoors through this ministry.

My wife Victoria was saved on September 18, 2005, my father Charles “Bear” Whatley led her to the Lord and it was through witnessing her life changes as a new Christian that truly brought me to the realization that I was lost and without God and I didn’t have what she had – a relationship with Him. On July 4, 2006 at the age of 48, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at Silver State Baptist Youth Camp after hearing the preaching of Pastor Bill Marshall. While certainly there are consequences of living a lost life and ignoring God, through this ministry, I will share my story of what God has done for me.

My wife Victoria and I are faithful Members of First Baptist Church of Englewood, Colorado. I am so thankful that the Lord allows me to participate in our music ministry, camp ministry, and men’s ministry.

My love, respect, and reverence for God’s great outdoors is attributed to my Dad.

I am grateful that my Dad, Bear Whatley, introduced me to the heritage of hunting, fishing, and the outdoor life at an early age. At age 6 with a 30-30, I harvested my first buck with my Dad by my side. I am thankful he taught me to love and respect the outdoors, safety in the woods and at the range, and to always share your passion for the great outdoors with others. Whether it was jackrabbit hunting, squirrel hunting, waterfowl, pheasant, stalking that big Colorado Elk, or tracking a Kudu on a South Africa Safari hunt, I would not be the avid outdoorsman I am today without my Dad taking the time to teach me how to be a responsible outdoorsman.

Owner & Host, Hunting The Way Radio Show

God purposed it. For the past several months I have been praying about what God would have me to do that would provide a way to focus on and have an impact on Eternity. On September 13, 2015, the first Hunting The Way Radio Show aired. Hunting The Way is a Christian Faith-based Ministry dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the broadcast of our radio show and participating in Wild Game Events at churches. Hunting The Way Radio Show is on every Sunday at 9:30-10 a.m. on 670AM KLTT.
Our mission is to encourage the sharing of our interests in hunting and the outdoors with others. This ministry provides the opportunity for common ground from which to present the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Hunting The Way is powered by Sportsman of Colorado and guided by the scripture verse is John 14:6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
